SriLankan Airlines has suspended all flights between Colombo (CMB) and Kuwait City (KWI) from 20 July through 26 July 2026, citing regional airspace restrictions affecting the flight corridor. The suspension affects both outbound and inbound services on the route.

Travellers with confirmed SriLankan Airlines bookings on the Colombo–Kuwait City route during this window should contact SriLankan Airlines directly to rebook or obtain a refund. Passengers connecting onward from Kuwait to other Gulf destinations are also affected - the Colombo hub cannot currently feed those connections via this carrier on this route.

Several other carriers operate between Sri Lanka and Kuwait City, including Flydubai, IndiGo, and Air India Express, typically via their respective hubs (Dubai, various Indian cities). Connecting through the Gulf via another carrier remains an option for those with firm travel dates this week.
